Today we had Greats and Grands day. We did a little performance for the grandparents and did jump jam. After that we had morning tea and showed the grandparents our learning. I was sad because my grandparents couldn't make it but I still had a great time. I loved the morning tea.

Pikelet Explanation

We have been learning how to write explanations. I have written an explanation to explain how to make pikelets.

Making yummy pikelets

Have you ever wondered how to make a pikelets?

First sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl.

Secondly in another bowl beat the egg and sugar with a whisk until pale and thick.

Next  add the egg mixture and the milk to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

After that gently heat a nonstick frying pan and drop tablespoonfuls of the mixture from the point of the spoon onto the surface.

Finally when the bubbles start to burst on the top of the pikelets, turn them over and cook the second side until golden. Place in a clean tea towel to cool.
